STEM Cultures students finished their first rotation of Spanish last week with presenting about themselves or a famous person to the class. It was really interesting to see the people that students chose to research! This assignment gave students the opportunity to practice all the vocabulary of our first unit, and to practice using both the “I” and “he/she” forms.
While Spanish students are not meeting for class during Rotation #2, they are expected to attend Spanish Club for at least 30 minutes during either Tuesday or Thursday Flex. During this time, we will have casual conversation, play games, and do some listening activities in Spanish.
Rotation #2 for STEM Cultures is Investigating World Conflicts. We started this week by talking about independence movements around the world, and focused on the current events happening in Catalonia, Spain. Students are now working on a project to research an independence movement and its cultural, economic, and political causes and consequences. They will share their research with the class next week!
