This week students completed their Investigating World Conflicts course by presenting their inquiry projects. Students spent the past few weeks researching a historical or current world conflict of interest to them, and then shared their learning to the class. This inquiry project gave students the opportunity to learn from each other, as they shared on topics including wars, social conflicts, environmental conflicts, revolutions, and others. They expanded their understanding through peer feedback and questioning. They did an amazing job researching & sharing their knowledge!
Next week we will begin the second rotation of Spanish I. The theme of this unit will be "Getting to Know You", and students will be working on expanding their conversational speaking and listening skills. Topics will include discussing characteristics, telling time, and beginning to learn conjugation of regular verbs.
