As we are wrapping up the project, we wanted to remind everyone of how teams will be judged and about the remaining opportunities for teams to enhance their machines prior to judging. Teams will be evaluated on the theme, number of steps, number of different simple machines, and how well it runs. There are a total of 60 points possible during our judging process. Those teams who scored the highest will have the chance to participate at a regional Rube Goldberg competition on Friday, April 12th at WCTC in Pewaukee. A link to information on judging and the competition can be found below. Therefore, since some teams are looking to complete, we will also be offering students the chance to work during FLEX times on Tuesday and Thursday. These times are optional, but provide teams the chance to finalize or enhance their machines. We will also allow any interested teams the opportunity to take their machines home over spring break provided they are picked up by 3:00 PM on Friday, March 22nd and returned to school on Monday, April 1st by 7:15 AM.
Teams should be sending either another picture or video to you this week to show you their progress on their boards. If you did not receive any picture or video, please speak with your student to show you. Thanks much and have a great day!
