The Wisconsin Forward Exam
This year, our Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) is working with all schools in our state, to roll out a new common assessment, the Wisconsin Forward Exam (LINK to site) that will help school districts gauge the successes of their students, via a norm- and peer-referenced assessment. The purpose of this assessment, is to help us as a school and district, measure student-growth, as well as recognize and reflect upon areas in need of focus and strengthening. As information becomes more readily available to us as a district and site, we will continue to share out these FAQ's with our STEM families.
Please let me know if you have any questions as you read through the material and we will do our best to try to help navigate through any complicated or otherwise, difficult to understand aspects of the assessment. Thank-You for your continued patience and support, as we are embracing this new assessment system in the 2015-2016 school year.
Below is information shared with all SDW school leadership teams and sites this past week, so we wanted to get these into the hands of our parents as soon as possible, for your perusing, since the exam will be coming up at month's end.
