Congratulations to our Future City Competitors who traveled to msoe and made us proud!

Congratulations to our seven teams who participated at MSOE last Saturday! All teams represented STEM well. Teams answered hard questions, gave presentations in front of groups of judges, and they did not even flinch! The Future City team of teacher-mentors would like to thank all parents, family, and friends who came out to support the students.

Public Speaking ~ Forensics Club is Starting Soon!
STEM - Saratoga is proud to announce the start of our Public Speaking Club (Forensics). Students who participate in the club pick a piece of material they wish to present from the various categories listed on the website below. They will practice their pieces and get feedback during connect and flex times over the next two months. The culminating experience will be a Forensics Festival on Thursday, March 30, at Butler Middle School.
Students participating in the festival, will be scored based on the rubric for that category. Awards and medals will be handed out to students who meet the exemplary category for the expectations of that category. We highly recommend students participate, as a way to get past stage fright and to enhance their public speaking skills. Students will need to make a commitment of meeting with Mr. Hoffmann once a week minimum, to work on and refine their piece. Mr. Hoffmann will be talking with students about the club in the upcoming week. There is a February 1st commitment date from students to confirm if they would like to participate, so we can begin the process of finding their pieces. Please take a moment to reflect with your student ahead of time if he/she feels that this would be a great opportunity to participate in this year.
