The past several weeks the science classes have studied various human body systems. We have specifically focused on the digestive, respiratory, and cardiovascular systems. Students have participated in heart pressure labs, designed system portfolio pages, and studied how blood flows through the body. We will be wrapping up our unit this Friday with an in class sheep heart dissection demonstration.
Body Works Assessments
Once we return from Memorial Day weekend, the class will spend a couple of days reviewing for our Claims, Evidence, and Reasoning assessment on Thursday, May 30th and our multiple choice assessment on Friday, May 31st. Students have already completed the digestive system modeling assessment and the results can be found on For All Rubrics. In order to best prepare for the assessments, students should make sure they have completed all of the daily work. We will also be giving students a study guide they can prepare for the assessment.
For All Rubrics: Last Day to Submit Late Work Friday, May 31
As we prepare to wrap up the school year in the coming weeks, students who wish to submit any late work should have that completed and checked in prior to Friday, May 31st. All assessment evaluations and student work check ins can be found on For All Rubrics for parental review.
