The Saratoga science students have just completed the inquiry unit we started over six weeks ago. Students submitted several research graphic organizers in order to create their final projects of a video, print ad, and letter to an interested organization. We finished this week by reflecting on those final products to create an artifacts submission for evaluation of the science standards that were being graded (assignment #14). The remainder of this week will focus on building a little background on viruses and talking about how we are flattening the curves at our homes, prior to us moving onto our Energy unit next week. Thank you to all parents who have completed the CK-12 Google Form that Mr. Murray sent out a couple of times in his previous emails. If you have not completed it, please review it and complete it as soon as possible. If you have any questions about the form, please feel free to contact your student’s science teachers.
For All Rubrics / Google Classroom
As we continue to move forward with virtual learning, students work and resources will continue to be posted on Google Classroom. Each day, students will have an email from us in the morning reminding them to review those expectations and highlighting concepts for the day to go along with video launches and other resources. Students are reminded to click “turn in” to the assignment in Google Classroom once they complete the expectations for the day. Once we review those submissions, we will continue to report completion and proficiencies using For All Rubrics, as we have done all year. If you notice in For All Rubrics any red checkmarks or see assignments that are not submitted to Google Classroom, please reflect with your student(s) about their plans to finish up the expectations for that assignment. Thanks again for all of your support!
