Where We Have Been
Last week, the science classes concluded their inquiry unit. Students finished by creating a scientific model and video presentation of their results. They shared out these results with their peers on Wednesday during their science cores. As you will see in For All Rubrics, the previous units assignments have fallen off and a fresh slate has been created. The summative results for the unit can be found under the “ePortfolio” in For All rubrics. In order to see the scores, click on “View Results.” Later this week, we will be emailing a document home that includes these scores, comments, and student reflections. If you are struggling to view any of these documents, please have your student show you how to access them.
Where We Are Going
The science classes have entered our final unit for the year, the human body. We started by creating outlines of the body on large pieces of paper and labeling organs with their functions. Students dug further by classifying them into their various systems. The first organ we are looking at in depth is the liver and what it processes it performs. As we go throughout this unit, students will read and complete activities around the major organs in the body. Students should be checking Google Classroom and For All Rubrics to make sure they stay up to date with the science expectations.
