We have reached the end of the first week of science fair! As we shared earlier, students should have successfully shown you their materials list, which is assignment #3. Once you have had a chance to review their materials list, please complete the form, so we know that you approve of the materials you will need to purchase for the project. The final push for this week was to complete an analysis (assignment #4) of the project proposal. Our goal was to ensure a complex project that works toward a proficiency level that the student wants to achieve. We have updated For All Rubrics to reflect these submissions for your review.
What We Will Work On Next Week!
Looking forward to next week, students will be working to complete their procedures (assignment #5) by Wednesday to stay on pace. Once students have finished their procedure writing, they may begin their experimentation phase of their project. We understand that complex experiments take time, so we have booked two weeks of class time to finish their experiments, so students can show their detailed work. Therefore, students should be prepared to bring their materials in once they are ready to experiment.
Thank you for your continued reflection with your student(s) during this process as they work to develop a variety of skills.
