Summer Break is here! We wanted to say thank you for your support this year with everything that we have gone through during the pandemic. With hybrid and virtual learning to masks and quarantines, it has been quite the year. The flexibility and communication many of the students displayed was encouraging. Learning doesn’t stop on June 9th though, so please continue to support your student’s math learning throughout the summer.
We are fortunate to have our ALEKS pie subscriptions available throughout the summer for our students; using Aleks will definitely help prevent the summer slide. Hopefully at this point they have finished their assigned Aleks course(s) for the year. If not, they have the opportunity to work on them over the summer and should be finishing those as soon as they can. Upon completion, students should email their teacher and they could get the next pie assigned to them so they can get a jumpstart on work for next year!
We would also like to take this opportunity to announce a change to our Math Team for next year. Here is a message from Mr. Wray: This year concludes 6 years at STEM and it has been awesome. This summer, I will be moving to Sheboygan to get closer to family. This was a tough decision for me, as I love STEM and the students that I have had the privilege of working with over the years. I will definitely miss this place! Over the summer, if you need anything, please contact Mrs. Hemphill, Ms. Grosskopf, or Mr. Burton.
We look forward to seeing our returning students again in the fall! Have a great and relaxing summer, and stay safe and healthy!
