Not much has changed from January, except it’s gotten colder, but by the time you read this, we definitely had a hint of spring! You know what your kids can do while they’re inside? Work on their Aleks Pies! They should be at least halfway through this year’s pie if they have been working towards their monthly goal! Ask to see your student’s Aleks Personalized Pacing Guide to see if they are on their way to meeting the End-of-February Goal.
We continue to provide feedback to our students on Google classroom. If it has a 2/2 that means your student’s submission is all good! If it doesn’t have a 2/2, make sure to read if there are any comments or missing status.
Ask your student what they're currently working on. We have students working on Geometry, Functions, Inequalities, and even Polynomials. Find out what your student is working by asking them to see their current portfolio page! They'll be shocked to hear you ask that question, but it's an important one. Each student receives a portfolio page (the entire unit is laid out for them in a Google Doc) with access to the all of the practice, lesson notes, and video lessons.
Stay tuned for March’s newsletter, as we will be celebrating Pi day!
Stay warm!
